I was a Destination Wedding photographer for this amazing wedding in Tuscany, for Lea et Arthus from France. We just met before the wedding once virtually on Skype and it is always nice to be finally face to face to this beautiful young couple.
Tuscany is always so beautiful and welcoming. When I arrived at Villa Montefiano I was speechless…the Villa was charming, full of personality.
I drove along the road to see the church and then coming back to the Villa, looking at the alleys and all the trees on the side…I had a small lunch in a bottega in the center of Settignano, just close to the church. Tuscany is really unique.
All the event, from preparatives to the cake, took place at Villa Montefiano, but the ceremony that was in the beautiful church of Settignano. In perfect italian style the couple after the celebration reached the villa by an old italian car and after a toast they followed me to this beautiful olive trees field where we had an amazing moment of portraits. The kind of couple. The kind of light and shadow. The kind of colours. Cicadas as soundtrack.
Two very close families, a lot of friends and long wooden tables, with flowers from Lilla florals and food from Galateo Ricevimenti. When I had Lea at telephone during one of our first calls she told me she was dreaming about an informal party with a lot of friends, wooden long tables, simple set up, lights and happy atmosfere…and it was like that!
One of my favourite part is the speeches moment and in this occasion it was really moving from bride and groom’s both parents and from best men.
But most of all: Music, groom’s real passion. And party!
